9 months...

Jack is 9 months today! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by! He is getting so big and discovering something new everyday. It's so fun to watch him accomplish these things! We are so lucky to have this sweet, always happy, baby boy in our lives! We wouldn't believe that we could love him any more than we already do, but surprisingly that love grows each and every day we see that smile and those gorgeous eyes!!

Here are some things about the babe as he turns 9 months:
  • weight: 19 lbs 2 oz
  • height: 30 in
  • teeth: 4 ; two on the bottom, two on the top, and 2 more on top cutting through as we speak
  • becoming a daddy's boy
  • loves books, looking at the pictures and being read to
  • claps, waves and babbles all the time
  • loves to eat... i don't think there's a food he's tried that he doesn't like.
  • holds his own bottle and drinks from a sippie cup
  • climbs on and walks around everything
  • content playing by himself (for a little while at least)
  • into EVERYTHING! his favorites... cords, remotes and any book he's not supposed to play with (we're still working on jack proofing the house)
  • loves baby einstein, handy manny, and mickey's clubhouse (don't worry, he doesn't watch them too often)
but my all time favorites are...
  • his kisses
  • his cuddles
  • and his forever smiles
I walked into the other room for a minute the other day and when I came back this is what I found...

aww, much better..
who me?
fine, I'll sit down

how do you sleep??

We started letting jack cry himself to sleep about a month ago. It's been great for us because he's slept through the night ever since. We do it for naps too, and some days are better than others. The other day, I walked into his room to check on him after he had put up a pretty good fight falling asleep, and found this...

NYC

We headed up to New York City for the 4th of July. We've wanted to make it up there for a while, and since Steve's internship had ended we thought it would be a good time. We were able to see the city and he was able to make a few contacts up there for potential jobs when he's graduated. A friend of Steve's is in school up there and he and his family live in New Jersey. It was great to spend some time with them. They have a little girl who's just a few months older than Jack, so it was fun for him to have a friend to play with. Thanks again for a great time Sean, Shannon and Ashlynn!

The first night we where there, we went into the city, for dinner then walked around.

We had a little bbq on the 4th to get ready for the fireworks...jack jack and mommy enjoying the view of the hudsondaddy and jack admiring the citysuch a daddy's boyour view for the fireworks show
(one of my favorite pictures)
the little guy fell asleep on our walk through central park.
he actually fell asleep in the stroller a few times as we walked through the noisy city.

We went to a mets vs dodgers game while we were there.
wondering when it's going to be his turn to play ball like his daddy, uncles and all his cousins

There are so many more things we wanted to see and do, but both the kids ended up getting pretty sick so we weren't able to fit everything in this trip. Guess we'll just have to plan another time to go back!!

Louisiana

We were so excited to be able to go to Louisiana for Ashley's baby blessing. It was a quick trip for us because we had to get back to South Carolina for Steve's internship, but we had a great time with the whole Trythall family and we were glad we were able to make it. While we were there we were also able to celebrate Steve's mom's 60th birthday. One of the highlights of the trip was being able to take family pictures! It was a great weekend and we can't wait to get together again!our little family
