Easter

We had a great Easter Sunday! We went to Church then came home and took some pictures of Jack with his little Easter basket. He loved his book and wanted to read it right away!

Later that evening we had dinner with some of our friends. We have a good group of friends that are in our ward. It's fun because we all are on child #1, but the ages range from 15 months down to 5 months. It's fun to see the development at different stages.

After dinner we decided to try to take a picture of all the children together. It was pretty hilarious to watch. Here they are in order of age.

Macie (15 months), Coleman (11 months), Eva (8 months), Gus (7 months) and Jack (5 months)Here's the video so you can get the full picture of the craziness!
Screaming babies and all. It was pretty funny!

Atlanta

We live less than 2 hours from Atlanta, but we haven't had a chance to go down and see some of the things there. There were a few things we wanted to look for, so we decided to take a little day trip on Saturday. We ran to a few stores then headed over to the temple. Growing up in Alabama, this was the temple we would go to, and I haven't been back since I was 14. It was fun to walk around and remember being there years ago. The grounds are so beautiful and it's always a great feeling to be at the temple.

Jack Sits!!

Jack has been sitting up for a few weeks now. It's amazing to me how much he changes from one day to the next, almost like things happen over night. It's fun for us to watch him grow and reach these milestones. We just hope it doesn't happen too fast!

Decked out in green and ready to cheer for aunt Courtney's school, Michigan State, in the playoff finals!

Spring Jubilee

Yesterday we went to a Spring Jubilee in the neighboring town of Pendleton. The weather was perfect so we had to take advantage of the opportunity to be outside. We met up with some friends and walked around and admired all the artwork and random crafts there were to see. We ate some southern bbq, sampled some fresh goat cheese and experienced boiled peanuts. We had a great time being outside and enjoying the small town atmosphere.

Jack loves to be outside. He is so content sitting in his stroller and enjoying everything around him.

He's so quiet that eventually we looked down and saw this... My favorite part is how he hold's (just so gently) his hand on the edge of the stroller and just rests it there while we push him. He is so funny!

Stage 1

Jack had been so intrigued the last month or so as he would watch us eat. He would try to grab at the forks and plates. I knew it was almost time to start introducing more solids to him and when I took him to his 4 month appointment, the doctor said he was big enough to start. So we pulled out his booster seat (thanks Tom and Tara) and started a new adventure.

He's done pretty well so far. It's funny to watch his facial expressions as he tries something new. So far sweet potatoes seem to be his favorite. He likes bananas ok, but he wasn't a huge fan of pears. One thing was for sure, he loved his cool new chair.
