9 months...

Time just keeps flying by.
It's hard to believe that in 3 short months our baby girl will be 1!!
Is that really possible?!

Her stats are 9 months:

Length: 28 inches (57%)
Weight: 16 lbs 3 oz (9%)

She's still pretty long and lean. And as adorable as ever!

She's such a happy, good natured baby. All you have to do is look at her and you'll get a huge gummy smile in return. She's so content doing pretty much whatever. She loves food and will pretty much eat anything we put in front of her. Her sleep patterns are all over the place. Some nights she'll sleep really well, waking up once or not at all (which doesn't happen too often anymore) and other times she's up multiple times, but will magically fall right to sleep if she is able to cuddle with me in our bed. I think she's working on a few teeth, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that once she gets those top teeth in she'll start sleeping through the night again.

She's learning new things everyday!
Over the last two months, her two bottom teeth broke through and now she's working on two of her top teeth. And through it all, she just keeps smiling.

She's crawling all over the place!!
She loves to follow Jack around and be where ever he is. She does love him and thinks he's the funniest person around! One of her favorite things to do is to pull herself up and stand. She does it everywhere! She recently discovered my tupperware drawer and it was a huge hit!

Sydney also loves bath time.
She immediately gets super excited and starts to kick her legs once she hears the bath water running. Her hair is pretty curly and sometimes has a mind of it's own. While it can be crazy at times, I'm hoping it will stay curly. But that means I'll have to learn how to do little girls hair and I'm a little nervous about that part.

We're so grateful to have this sweet girl in our family!!
And I can't wait to see what the next 3 months have in store for all of us.

Easter

The kids were excited to find their baskets full of goodies on Easter morning.

Sydney went straight for the eggs.
And let's be honest, she would have been just as happy with a basket full of empty eggs.

Dressed and ready for church.

We went down to Steve's sister's house where we were able to celebrate Easter, as well as her son's 3rd birthday.
Jack LOVES going down there to see his aunt and uncle and his cousins.

I'm glad we were able to spend the day with some of our family.

And I'm so grateful for the real reason we celebrate Easter,
for the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. And for all that is made possible through him.

Dying Eggs

Saturday night we dyed eggs.
It was the first time we had done it with Jack and he loved it!

Sydney was happy to sit in her chair and watch. As she always is.

The Hunt

We did a little egg hunt with some of our friends the Friday before Easter. It was super windy out, but the kids were still really excited and ready to go. Nothing was stopping them from the good stuff.

It didn't take long before they found a spot and dug in to their loot.

While the other kids were off hunting for eggs, Sydney made her own discovery.
GRASS!!

She wasn't too sure of it, and still won't let us put her down when we're outside.

When all the eggs had been found, we had treats (as if their candy filled eggs weren't enough), and let the kids play at the park.

My friend Megan made these cute little nests. She's so creative.

A few favorites...

I finally uploaded all my pictures from my phone a while ago. Out of 300 something pictures, I thought I would share a few of my favorites.

Visitors

We were lucky to have a few visitors over the last couple of months. In February 3 of my best friends made a trip to denver for a couple days. My friend Heather was coming for a wedding, so Trisha and Nicole thought it would be fun to join her. It was a quick trip, but it was so great to see them.

Steve's mom came out in March to spend time with his sister after she had her baby. We were glad we were able to see her a couple times while she was here.

Also in March, my niece Abby had a volleyball tournament out here. So she and my sister flew in for the weekend. Their schedule was pretty booked with her games and her team requirements, but we were really glad they were able to make the trip and we were able to see them as much as we could.

We LOVE having visitors, and hope for many more in the future!
