A couple weeks ago we went with our friends Devin and Sarah to Tennessee. The boys wanted to go to the UT vs Florida game. We were lucky enough to stay with my uncle and aunt, so it was good to see some of my family, even if it was just for a night. We got there on Friday and went right into downtown Knoxville to experience a different kind of tailgating. The University of Tennessee over looks the river, so instead of parking your car and tailgating, which I'm sure they do too, many people drive their boats up the river and anchor for the day, the night, or even the weekend. They just tie their boats together and walk across to get to shore. My cousin told us about it, but it was definitely something that we had never seen before. So when we got there we grabbed dinner then walked up and down the river taking in the atmosphere.
Beyond the bridge you can see the stadium and just a fraction of the amount of boats that will be tied together to experience the game.

On Saturday, Sarah and I dropped the boys off at the game and we did what most girls do, went shopping. After the game, we picked the boys up and headed back home. Although the boys were disappointed that it wasn't the best game for Tennessee, they still enjoyed the experience of being in the stadium taking in the Tennessee experience. It was a fun little get away.
